			Bartholomew V. Earle (bart@capstonepractice.com), a Capstone senior consultant, is a programmer and document automation developer with a 23-year history of private legal practice.  He helps law firms maximize their efficiency and the quality of their work through practice automation.   For the past six years, he has done intensive work in the field of document automation, building law practice systems with HotDocs.  He has also developed legal applications using the Microsoft Office suite and various high level languages.  His recent experience includes constructing systems for delivery of legal services on the internet. Before establishing himself as a technology consultant, Mr. Earle was a law-firm partner.  In addition to maintaining an active practice and managing operations, he was the firm's technology guru.   He was responsible for all aspects of the firm's computer systems, from selecting and purchasing new software and hardware to actually installing and maintaining the systems.  He customized off-the shelf software and wrote custom software. A graduate of Boston University Law School, Mr. Earle is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.  He has published a number of articles about law office technology.
